Update Requested by Mimi (my mom)

I have been bad about updating lately, mainly I think the reason is that I don't really have things of note to post about. My life is pretty much the same, but then I think about it and Ethan is note worthy and he is doing some pretty cute things lately so because I am pretty boring. My mom also came to visit us for a few days and that is note worthy too so I guess I do have stuff to blog about, I am just in one of those "I am a boring person" phases.

I guess one thing about me that I have announced on Facebook but not on here is that we are expecting our second child in December and we are really excited about that! I am already 12 weeks along and this pregnancy has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier than Ethan's and for that I am very grateful!

Anyway, onto Ethan! I am just going to share some little stories that have happened the last week or so.

Ethan is all over the place, he has learned to army crawl and when he is not doing that he is pulling himself up on things which has increased his falling because, well that is what happens to little boys when they want to be independent but cant be yet. He tried to copy other little boys (two and older) at the pool yesterday by wanting to "jump in" at me. He would sit on the edge of the pool's shallow area and scoot his little butt until he started to fall at which point I was to catch him. It was pretty cute.

We have a music mobile that you push a button and it makes ocean sounds and the mobile moves little fish and stuff from side to side. The last 3 naps that he has taken he has kind of cried but then stopped fairly quickly so I didn't go in because he is so quiet. A bit later I have heard him awake, but content so I peak in and what do I see? My son has stood up walked over to his mobile pushed the button and laid back down to watch it!!! It is pretty cool. It may have happened more than that because the mobile is on a timer but I have seen him do it 3 times and it is pretty cute.

The other day we had to lower Ethan's crib because he was standing so well and it was hitting him a little low. Brandon lowered the crib and then we put him in it and stood in a place where he could not see us while we watched him realize that his crib had gotten taller! He was frustrated for a second because every time he tried to stand up his feet would slide (I also removed the bumper because his legs were getting stuck anyway and it was frustrating to move the bumper and stuff to change the sheets) anyway his feet were slipping and he wasn't able to stand. He looked over and saw his teddy bear, crawled over grabbed the teddy bear then dragged it back to the middle of his crib and used it to block his feet from slipping. He leaned against it and put his feet up against it and within seconds was standing again in his crib. He even did his own happy dance when he was up it was pretty cute but at the same time made us realize how fast our son figures out solutions to problems when he really wants something!

After his crib was lowered he seemed to be getting his legs and feet caught so often and I needed a new bumper that was a little more secure and wider so I went to Babies R Us and had something in mind but while I was there they had these really cool bumper things on clearance, they are actually like a bumper sheet, bedding set thingy...I LOVE it!!! It was only $27 and Ethan hasn't gotten his feet or legs caught at all-this thing makes it nearly impossible!

Like I said earlier my mom came to visit and that was a lot of fun. We did a lot of things: the pool, a great quilt store, pedicures, out to lunch, watched some movies it is always fun to have my mom around. She has always been one of my very best friends.

Well I guess that is it for the typing phase of this post, now onto pictures!!

Pedicures with my mom, me, my mother in-law and my soon to be sister in-law!

Mom bought Ethan his first Hurley shirt and so we got a matching picture with Brandon in one of his Hurley shirts. : )

Brandon and Ethan "sharing" a Popsicle thing.

Big boy standing in the crib.

This was taken by my mom, while she was here. :)

Playing at the pool. He LOVES water!!! This is another great picture taken by my mama!!

Well I guess that is all for now! Looks like I did have stuff to say after all! Hope whoever reads this enjoys!
